10/17/07: Check out the Boda bag...

If you are looking for a nifty lens bag for active "change on the fly" shooting...check out the Boda Bag. The Boda Bag is not inexpensive...but it gets rave reviews and appears to have everything a photographer would want in a compact bag. (Disclaimer: Those who've shot with me know I'm not the compact bag type...but...I aspire to be!)

Wow, when I first read this I thought you said it "is inexpensive", but it's crazy expensive. I can't imagine anyone buying this over many other similarily set up (and effective) bags on the market. Tamron and Lowepro each have sling bags that are much cheaper and there are oodles of other shoulder and waste packs that will also do the trick. It's robbery what they want for this thing!

Full disclosure...I'm not affiliated with Boda or compensated in any way by them...I've just heard some friends rave about their Boda Bags so I checked it out and was very impressed. :) I do own a Tenba (which is freakin' huge) and a small Tamrac (which can hold one slr and two small to medium lenses). I'm also very impressed with the Lowepro Stealth Reporter. :)

What's shootsac? (Just kidding!) I'd love to order one of those for my wife...but I'm waiting for the next version with a flap that fastens...to often things that are assumed to be closed are inadvertantly flipped over and there goes the contents. I've actually done that once -- ONCE -- with my Tenba which I forgot to close and was in a hurry. Ooops!!!

Beware. the strap could rip off easily. If that happens the owner of the boda bag has said to staple it.

What the hell? why would you want to staple an expensive bag you payed?

By the way the shoot sac is retarded. You could sew something like that yourself.

yeah, chris, i suppose i could sew a bag. but i'm a much better photographer than seamstress...so i think i'd rather pay someone else to do it! i mean...how ghetto do i look walking around with white lenses in a wal*mart bag???? LOL
