09/18/07: My first test of Animoto!

Earlier I promised I'd check this out... :)

I tired animoto, and was a bit dissapointed with the shortness of it. I've got a credit for a full version which I'll use and post when things slow down a bit.

Music seems a bit upbeat for some of those shots.

I tried it too and the transitions were cool, very MTV-like in some cases. But I'm not sure if it's enough to make me give up the control available in ProShow Producer.

Damon -- you're probably right...I wasn't on my regular machine so I was kinda limited on my choice of shots. I also didn't take a lot of time to go thru the music options to find the ideal song. I was just testing the site to see how it works. I'll put something together a bit more thought out in the next few days. :) Thanks for your comments!

Dennis, but I think the question is, is ProShow Producer as easy?

Daniel, thanks so much for sharing this with us. I created a test slideshow and think it's very cool software that could be very handy for some informal, upbeat slideshows.

Hey Daniel

my apologies I hadnt tried it and now have. Found there collection of music very upbeat. You can upload your own too.

It suited my test though and I've signed up for a full account.

Future developments look good, iPhone format and a download facility.

Thanks again for the pointer to this cool service.
